Human-centric technology to support assistive care and quality of life at sustainable costs.

Already more than 15 million people in the U.S. require caregiver assistance. The majority of these are the 40 million seniors living today—a number that is expected to double by 2050, as baby boomers age and begin to require care in record numbers. But aging is not the only factor that contributes to the growing population needing assistive care. Disabilities resulting from chronic disease or injury can affect people of all ages, including children. However, at the very time that demand and costs are increasing, we also face an increasing shortage of care professionals and informal caregivers.

How can we address the impact of the ever increasing need, costs, shortages, and other associated effects we face, not only in the U.S., but globally, while also affording individuals needing assistance independence, dignity, and empowerment in managing their own lives at sustainable costs?

Hoaloha Robotics was founded to create “socially assistive,” human-centric robot designs that combine software innovation and advanced interface techniques with today’s digital technologies to deliver solutions that enable individuals to better address the challenges that can come with aging, disabilities, or other chronic conditions.
